Ingredients

2 tbls butter
2 large eggs
4 large egg whites
2/3 cup flour
2/3 cup milk
1 sweet apple
2 tbls raw sugar

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425.
  2. Place butter in a 2 quart casserole dish and put in the preheating oven.
  3. Core and chop apple into small pieces, do not peel!
  4. Mix eggs, flour and milk and pour into warm casserole with melted butter.
  5. Spread chopped apples on top of egg mixture.
  6. Sprinkle raw sugar over apples and egg mixture.
  7. Return casserole to oven for 20 minutes.

Notes

Butter is pretty important to the flavour of the dish, but you can use an non-stick spray. It won't be as crispy or taste as good but it will be better for you. You can also use whole wheat flour.
